MENA Remains IP Blackspot
May 2007 | Industry NewsThere has not been much progress concerning intellectual property (IP) protection in the Middle East & North Africa, according to the United States Trade Representative (USTR)'s 2007 "Special 301" report. The list, which monitors the worst IP violators in the world, ranks four countries form the MENA region -Israel, Egypt, Turkey and Lebanon - as 'Priority Watch' nations. Also, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia have retained their positions on the slightly less severe 'Watch
