Indian Drugmakers Target Region
March 2007 | Industry NewsIndian drugmakers are increasingly looking to penetrate the Middle East by offering low-cost generic medicines and therefore providing price competition to the multinationals that are already operating in the market. The lack of a strong domestic manufacturing base throughout much of the region has allowed opportunistic Indian firms to make aggressive moves in country's such as Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, the UAE, Jordan, Lebanon and Egypt.
