36.6 Buys Rivals

To maintain its leading position in the Russian retail pharmaceutical market and expand its reach, domestic pharmacy chain 36.6 has revealed that it purchased several smaller rivals during Q406. BMI is not surprised at the acquisitive strategy of 36.6 given its history, and expects the firm's competitors - such as Rigla - to make similar acquisitions to remain competitive.
