Neurological Disorders Major Threat To Health

A new report by the World Health Organisation claims that neurological disorders affect up to 1bn people worldwide, with this figure set to rise as the global population continues to age. These conditions - which include strokes, MS, Alzheimer's, dementia and brain injuries - account for around 6.8mn deaths each year. However, the treatment divide between developed and developing nations still remains large. For example, you are almost 10 times more likely to die of meningitis if you live in a low-income country rather than a high-income
