Internet Pharmacies Banned
February 2007 | Legal NewsIn a controversial move, the lower house of the Polish parliament has prohibited the sale of medicines over the internet on the grounds of public safety. The issue will now be put before the upper chamber, but the outcome is likely to be identical. However, BMI believes that in the mid-term the legislation will be reversed as it contravenes EU norms. Furthermore, it is our view that the new law was implemented after intense lobbying from traditional pharmacists who are operating in an increasingly tough operating climate.
