Novartis Opens Tropical Disease Research Institute
February 2007 | FDI AlertBranching out from its Singapore-based Novartis Institute of Tropical Diseases (NITD), the Swiss multinational has opened a scientific initiative in Indonesia to discover and develop treatments for neglected diseases. The company has teamed up with the Eijkman Institute and Hasanuddin University, which are both locally based, to form NEHCRI (the NITD - Eijkman Institute - Hasanuddin University Clinical Research Initiative).
