Olainfarm To Export TB Drug To Kazakhstan
February 2007 | FDI AlertLatvian firm Olainfarm has been awarded a contract by the government of Kazakhstan to supply LVL974,000 (US$1.8mn) of PASA - sodium salt (aminosalicylic acid), a treatment for tuberculosis (TB). BMI is impressed at this deal as it demonstrates Olainfarm expansionist policy into a country that presents clear opportunities for foreign drugmakers, despite the less than ideal operating conditions.
