Iraq Violence Threatens Julphar
February 2007 | Company Finance AlertUAE based drugmaker Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries (Julphar)'s encouraging results in 2006, with sales reaching AED641mn (US$174.5mn), an 18% increase y-o-y, ere achieved despite setbacks in the company's trade with Iraq, caused by the ongoing cycle of bloodshed in the country. Although, demand for Julpar's products remains robust in the war-torn country, the company is finding it increasingly difficult to ship orders.
