Neopharma Forms JV With Biocon

UAE-based drugmaker Neopharma has formed a Joint Venture with Indian biotech firm Biocon , in what is being described as a landmark deal for the region. The JV will be the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC)'s first foray into the private development of biopharmaceutical products. Neopharma's CEO Dr. B.R Shetty is hopeful that the move will be a catalyst for similar initiatives throughout the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
