Morning-After Pill Controversy Mounts
December 2006 | Company News AlertFree distribution of the morning-after pill is still not available in many parts of Chile despite recent court victories by Health Ministry (Minsa) against challenges to the controversial treatment. Furthermore, the only company with a registration for the product has stopped making it, presumably because of lack of demand. Currently, women can only get the drug at some government-run clinics, and opponents to the morning-after pill continue to challenge Minsa's policy.
