Government Tightens Advertising Regulations
November 2006 | Industry NewsChina is cracking down on medical advertising after a string of complaints from the public. Under the new rules, guarantees of efficacy and the use of patients and medical professionals to promote treatments will be prohibited. The ban covers newspapers, radio and television and will come into effect on January 1 2006, bringing, in BMI's eyes, some much-needed regulatory structure to the sector.
