Eczacibasi Considers Divestment

Turkish industrial group Eczacibasi is reported to be considering divesting a 50% stake in its generic drug unit. According to industry sources, the whole division is valued at around US$650mn. In 2005, generic drug sales contributed around US$250mn to Eczacibasi Pharmaceuticals total revenues of US$811mn.
