New Drug Industry Organisation Formed
November 2006 | Industry NewsThe Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PMA) - a lobby group that previously represented multinational drug firms in South Africa - has re-launched itself and will include local generics firms and black empowerment companies for the first time. The new organisation is called the Pharmaceutical Industry Association of SA (PIASA) and counts leading domestic players Aspen Pharmacare and Adcock Ingram as members.
