Lilly Outsources Data Services To India

Continuing the trend for pharmaceutical companies to transfer operations to lower cost bases, US firm Eli Lilly has agreed to outsource a range of clinical data services to India's Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). BMI believes that more deals of this kind will be struck in the mid-term as drugmakers look to save money and focus on core competences.
