Astellas Seeks To Preserve Lipitor Deal

Japanese drugmaker Astellas is seeking a declaratory judgement to confirm that a co-marketing deal with Pfizer, regarding the latter's blockbuster cholesterol-lowering drug Lipitor (atorvastatin), will continue until 2016. The drug was Astellas' top-selling product last year, notching up sales of JPY91.5bn (US$780mn).
