Inovelon Opinion Heralds Opportunities For Eisai
November 2006 | Industry NewsInnovative Japanese drugmaker Eisai has received a positive opinion on its anti-epileptic Inovelon (rufinamide) from the European Committee for Medicinal Products (CHMP). The drug already has orphan drug status in the EU and the US for Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, a severe form of childhood onset epilepsy. A wider indication for the product, which was developed as a wide-spectrum anticonvulsant, could secure Eisai additional revenues in this expanding disease
