Drug Exports Bounce Back
October 2006 | Industry NewsSingapore's volatile pharmaceutical exports sector rose by 60% in September, according to United Overseas Bank (UOB), boosted by strong demand in Europe. Pharmaceuticals are a key growth driver of the Singaporean economy and should contribute strongly to full year export sales. Part of the reason for the robust performance in September is that drug exports are expanding from a reduced base, following a slowdown in output earlier in the year.
