New Patient Fees Introduced

To the likely dismay of the average citizen, Hungary's government has approved a healthcare reform bill that will introduce fees for seeing a doctor and define service packages in an effort to contain costs. The legislation is part of the country's efforts to reform its inefficient and expensive healthcare system, which has contributed to huge budget overspends. While the fee may prove unpopular, BMI believes that measures such as these are vital to maintain the necessary fiscal discipline in tough economic times.
