Hikma Announces Lower Sales Forecast
October 2006 | Industry NewsJordanian drugmaker Hikma has announced that it expects lower generics sales for 2006, due to the weaker than expected performance of its new products. Like most generic firms, Hikma is feeling the effects of intense competition and weak prices, especially in the US. As a result, the company has revised its forecasts and is expecting US sales to fall 3% to US$112mn, resulting in a fall in operating profits of 6.4% to $36mn.
