Teva Expands Generic CNS Portfolio
October 2006 | Company Finance AlertIsraeli drugmaker Teva has announced that it has received tentative approval from the US FDA for a generic version of Johnson & Johnson's schizophrenia treatment Risperdal (risperidone). Final approval for the atypical antipsychotic is expected in December 2007. According to IMS, the drug recorded sales of just US$66mn for the 12 months ending June 2006, but should boost the company's CNS-focused product portfolio.
