Drugmakers Call For Greater Uptake Of New Medicines

The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) has asked the UK National Health Service (NHS) to accelerate its uptake of innovative medicines, citing statistics that show the benefits that new drugs bring to patients. However, BMI believes that the NHS and its cost-effectiveness regulator NICE will continue to delay the introduction of these products in order to save money.
