November 2006 | FDI AlertDue to the spread of cost-containment initiatives in their home markets, pharmaceutical companies from Western Europe are increasingly looking to expand in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). It is BMI's view that the CEE region represents one of the key global growth prospects and predicts that many more drugmakers will invest there in the mid-term - particularly those firms that are having a tough time at home.
