Border Rules Covering Medicine Exports Relaxed
October 2006 | Legal NewsIn a development benefiting US consumers seeking cheaper medicines, US custom officials will still seize prescription drugs imported from Canada through the mail but will hand over enforcement to federal health officials rather than destroying the contraband themselves. In addition to assisting patients, BMI believes that this new policy will go some way to preventing counterfeiting as the US FDA is better equipped to determine if a drug is fake than the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP)
