Austria Looks To Restrain Healthcare Spending

Ahead of a general election in October, Austria's Health Minister is confident that the country's health funds will be able to enter the black by the end of 2006 despite posting a half-year deficit. Maria Rauch-Kallat's Austrian People's Party and its coalition partner the Alliance for the Future are eager to keep to budget or else face criticism from their main competition, the Social Democratic Party of Austria.
