Hikma Expecting MENA sales To Take Off

Jordanian drugmaker Hikma is aiming to double or even triple its sales in Middle East and North Africa (MENA) in the coming years by acquiring companies and expanding existing businesses. According to Chief Executive Samih Darwazah, the company is considering options in Egypt, Morocco and Turkey, and has a budget of around US$250mn. Hikma is currently the fourth largest drugmaker listed on the London Stock Exchange and in March 2006, the company announced a secondary listing on the Dubai International Financial
