Welsh Clinical Trials Receive Boost
July 2006 | Market Trend AnalysisDesigned to boost the clinical trial industry in Wales, the Clinical Research Collaboration Cymru has been established to increase quality, quantity and efficacy of clinical studies in the country. CRC Cymru is similar to its UK counterpart - the UK Clinical Research Collaboration - and aims to help researchers generate more income from commercial and non-commercial sources. It includes nine research networks (including those focusing on specific diseases such as diabetes, epilepsy and mental health), six specialist research support services, two trial units and a co-ordinating centre.
