With the value of hi-tech imports only likely to grow, strenuous government-backed efforts to boost exports are not expected to improve Brazil's trade outlook significantly. Nevertheless, exports are likely to follow a steady upward trend, as both local industry and foreign companies invest in export capabilities in bids to exploit the benefits of the weak real and look outside the local market to maintain profit levels.
