Sanofi-Aventis Regains Brazil Sales Lead
April 2006 | Company Finance AlertFrench drug major Sanofi-Aventis has regained its leading sales position on Brazil's pharmaceutical market, according to IMS Health. In the first quarter of 2006, the company has a market share of 6.43%, with leading products Novalgin (dipyrone) and Dorflex (dipyrone+orphenadrine+caffeine) remaining among the market's best sellers. The company was closely followed by former market leader Aché - recently enlarged by its acquisition of fellow Brazilian firm Biosintética - and another local producer, EMS-Sigma.
