Australia Gets Healthier, But Obesity Still Threatens

Deaths from cancer, cardiovascular disease and strokes are falling in Australia, although the prevalence of obesity, diabetes and dementia has increased, according to statistics recently released by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare. The Australia's Health 2006 survey claims that the nation's health has improved over the previous two decades, especially in the area paediatric health.
