GSK To Boost Japan Launches
June 2006 | Company Finance AlertAccording to international reports, UK drug major GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is to increase launches of new products in Japan, aiming to boost sales by 10% per year. With local revenues of JPY186.6bn (US$1.62bn) in 2005, the Japanese subsidiary is currently ranked only ninth, although its parent is the world's second largest drugmaker by sales. GSK now hopes to be ranked fifth in Japan by the end of the decade.
