Asian Health Threatened By Over-Use Of Antibiotics
May 2006 | Company News AlertLeading experts say that Asia's indiscriminate use of antibiotics is complicating efforts to fight infections. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), more that 90% of some types of bacteria no longer respond to front-line antibiotics such as penicillin. The WHO has been keeping track of antibiotic resistance in Asia since 1991.
