Novartis Launches Femara In Japan
May 2006 | Product LaunchSwiss drugmaker Novartis and co-marketing partner Chugai have launched the aromatase inhibitor Femara (letrozole), indicated for post menopausal breast cancers, on the Japanese market. The drug's market segment was valued at some US$180mn in 2005, according to analysts. Some 40,000 Japanese women are diagnosed with the disease each year.
