UAE Consumers Call For Pharmacy Reform
June 2006 | Market Trend AnalysisA number of residents in the UAE have criticised regulations in the country that prohibit pharmacies from breaking up pack sizes so they can sell smaller amounts of prescribed medicines. As a result, patients are often forced to pay for more pharmaceuticals than the doctor has actually recommended. In other countries it is common practice for pharmacies to open drug packs and sell the contents tablet by tablet.
