Middle East Counterfeiters Target Pfizer's Viagra
June 2006 | Market Trend AnalysisPfizer's Viagra is the most commonly counterfeited drug in the Gulf with custom officials in Dubai claiming that the anti-impotence treatment accounted for 15% of the illicit medicines seized in 2005. Injectable products, including performance enhancing steroids and cosmetic treatment Botox accounted for 38% of all confiscated drugs, while assorted oral medications including UK-drugmaker GSK's painkiller Panadol made up 23% of the total.
