Saudi Arabia To Extend Expatriate Health Cover
May 2006 | Market Trend AnalysisIn January 2006, Saudi Arabia implemented mandatory health insurance for employers with over 500 employees. The Saudi government has increasingly attempted to shift the burden of health provision to employers in recent years. A number of companies are reported to be unhappy with the new legislation, complaining that they are already suffering from higher wages and rising fuel costs. In support of this legislation, the Saudi government has recently given permission to 14 companies to provide health insurance
