Sanovel Ilac Opens New Plant

Turkish drugmaker Sanovel Ilac will open its new TRY192mn (US$144.85mn) production facility shortly. Construction on the 120,000 m2 plant began in 2001and when fully operational it will have an annual capacity of 500mn packs of medicine. This is equivalent to 35% of the total output of the Turkish drug sector, which produced 1.2mn packs of medicine in 2005.
