Indian Drugmakers Target East Africa
April 2006 | Company Finance AlertIndian drugmaker Plethico Pharmaceuticals is planning to invest KES1.42bn (US$20mn) in a new manufacturing facility in Kenya. The factory is scheduled to begin operations by the end of the year and will provide drugs for the East and Central African market. A wide range of products will be manufactured at the site including ARVs, antibiotics, cardiovascular treatments and anti-malarial drugs.
