Eczacibiasi Opens New Antibiotics Factory
March 2006 | Company Finance AlertTurkish drugmaker Eczacibasi Pharmaceuticals has recently opened a new US$4mn antibiotics facility, which will specialise in the production of cephalosporin. Eczacibasi Pharmaceuticals is planning to continue strengthening its generics business while expanding its operations in international markets. In order to achieve this, the company is looking to invest in R&D and bioequivalence, as well as expanding its production capacity. Parent company Eczacibasi - which has interests in a number of industries including construction, finance and IT - has recently announced that it is to launch a EUR450mn (US$553.1mn) investment programme for the period
