Brazilian Officials Tour Israeli Plants
March 2006 | Company Finance AlertA team of officials from Brazil's health ministry have visited facilities in Israel operated by Teva. In addition to assessing facilities in Haifa and the Negev, officials led a seminar on the Brazilian government's drug tendering procedures. Representatives of Brazil's leading state-owned drugmaker, Farmanguinhos, were also present. Israeli firms account for just 1% of generic drug registrations filed in Brazil. Currently, domestic companies control 75% of the market.
