Saudi Arabia Mulls Private Sector Healthcare Role
February 2006 | Privatisation AlertAmid soaring oil revenues, Saudi Arabia is planning to cautiously increase private sector participation in the government hospital sector. However, no timeframe for the reforms is thought to have been decided, and local sources suggest that medical staff are likely to continue to be employed directly by the Ministry of Health.
