India Targets European Drugmakers
June 2006 | FDI AlertIndian pharmaceutical companies have spent well over US$1bn on purchasing European drugmakers in Q106, and more acquisitions are planned for this year. The wave of European transactions is set to even overtake the number of global deals signed last year, when companies from the Indian subcontinent across a variety of sectors spent more than US$3.5bn in acquiring stakes in 104 firms
