Argentina's Gideon To Enter Spain
April 2006 | FDI AlertArgentine drugmaker Gideon Pharma is to invest some EUR20mn (US$24mn) in Olvega, central Spain, according to government officials. No further details - either relating to the company or the nature of activity expected - were disclosed, although reports suggest that the investment could relate to a biotechnology product line. Biotech is an increasingly important area for Argentina, with investors such as Israeli giant Teva active in the local R&D
