Regulatory Changes Aggrieve Local Players
July 2012 | Industry Trend AnalysisBMI View: The four bills proposed by the Ukrainian cabinet of ministers and introduced to the Verkhovna Rada (parliament) regulating the circulation of medicines would strengthen the operating environment in the country. However, they each create immediate challenges for drugmakers and distributors in the market and will not be welcomed as these firms have to quickly change their business practices. The government has also introduced a new draft law on prices and pricing on the drug market, which BMI will be examining in the coming days.
