BMI View: Despite the floods in 2011, we forecast moderately strong growth in Thailand's pharmaceutical and medical devices trade. Given the country's underdeveloped pharmaceutical industry, we expect it will continue to remain highly reliant on imports for sophisticated pharmaceuticals and medical devices. However, slowing economic growth presents a headwind to sustained spending on medical services.
