BMI View: The withdrawal of the Blackmores-Pharmacy Guild of Australia deal highlights that the needs and interests of various stakeholders has to be appreciated. We believe that such considerations for prescribers, dispensers, corporates, regulators and patients will increasingly be met, given their importance in lending support to new policies or agreements. We also expect more pressure to be placed on the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) to properly define the regulation of therapeutic drugs due to public concerns.
