Government To Implement Nationwide Telecare System Following A Successful Pilot Project

BMI View: We welcome the government's recognition of the benefits of telecare in providing out-patient care as we believe that in the long run, investment in the technology will work to reduce healthcare delivery costs (as a patient's health can be monitored in their own home thus avoiding hospital visits/stays), which is vital as the government tries to provide healthcare services to an ageing population while containing costs.
