Government Extends Medicine Tender

BMI View: Although the Honduran Ministry of Health has promised to have fair and transparent bidding for tenders, we believe the country's business environment fosters a system that is is inefficient, unaccountable and increasingly corrupt. While we view the government's latest tender announcement in a generally positive light, the complicated and opaque procurement process has discouraged foreign investors from establishing local operations.
