BMI View: While we believe Brazil's intellectual property laws do little to help the country's otherwise positive business environment, we are impressed by the government's push towards preferential pricing agreements. While discounts are likely to dissuade multinational drugmakers from expanding into other emerging market, increased volume sales can offset the negative effects of price cuts.
