Doctors Continue To Resist Generic Medicines
August 2011 | Industry Trend AnalysisBMI View: While the vast majority of Brazilians are willing to use generic medicines, the government's interest in supporting the industry needs to confront growing resistence from physician groups. With the previously held belief that higher cost drugs translate to better quality care is all but gone, we argue that healthcare professionals still need to be made aware of the bioequivalence certification standards that go into approving generic medicines.
