Foreign Drugmakers Increasingly Face Local Certification Requirements

While it is important to ensure that pharmaceutical imports entering Peru are safe and of good quality, BMI is concerned that Peru's decision to assess import quality on an ad-hoc, country-by-country basis might lead to certification delays, effectively pushing some foreign drugmakers out of the country's small but growing pharmaceutical market.
